Pick A Patch Of Margaret River

A recent report in The Sunday Times Travel Magazine highlighted the never ending list of things to do in the Margaret River Wine region, and the wisdom of just ” picking a patch” to do. The Yallingup area, where Wildwood Valley is situated, has more than enough to fill your time during your stay with us.

Yallingup Beach is not only good in summer – the adventure playground is a must for the youngsters, and who doesn’t love a walk along a windswept beach? Then head back to Yallingup general Store for a coffee, cake or one of their famous burgers.

Yallingup General Store Award winning wine is just a hop, step and a jump from Wildwood Valley. Windance Winery is our favourite, and if you are lucky enough to receive a complimentary bottle of wine from us, this is what it will be. Their range is superb and includes many gold medal winners. And the cellar door staff are so friendly!

Mongrel Creek is another favourite, situated down Hayes Rd. If you prefer to combine food with your wine. Mongrel Creek wines are on the menu just up the road at Goanna Café and Gallery. This place serves the best brekkie and lunches in a pretty bush setting with a casual, laid back atmosphere.

Is chocolate what you are looking for? Gabriel’s Chocolate is superb. WA’s first bean to bar chocolate maker, turning raw cacao beans into single-origin fine chocolate. Definitely not for the kiddies, but they also serve delicious hot chocolate, coffee and cakes.Gabriel's Chocolate

If you still have room for afternoon tea, call in to Cape Lavender for a traditional Devonshire tea. Try the lavender scones, and while there have a look at their extensive range of lavender products.
